Atlanta, GA · Soil Testing

Find out what your lawn is actually short on.

A lab soil test — pH, nutrients, organic matter — read by an agronomist, not guessed from the curb. It's the first step into our organic lawn program, and the cheapest decision you'll make all year.

The problem

Georgia red clay doesn't fail politely.

You don't see a soil problem. You see the symptoms — and by August they're impossible to miss.

01

Compaction

Clay packs tight. Roots stay shallow, water runs off instead of soaking in, and the lawn gives up the moment it gets hot.

02

pH drift

Atlanta soil trends acidic. Below about pH 6.0, the nutrients are in the ground but the grass can't take them up.

03

Nothing holds

Low organic matter means low holding capacity. You fertilize, it rains, and most of it leaves before the roots ever see it.

What you actually see: thin turf that never fills in, bare patches along the drive and under trees, and a lawn that looks rough by August no matter how much you water it.

Why we test first

We don't treat a lawn we haven't measured.

Most companies run the same program on every yard on the street. We keep our own archive of Fulton County soil tests, and it says those yards are not the same.

Fescue wants roughly 6.0–6.5. Our median sits just under it — which is exactly why liming on a schedule, without testing, gets lawns over-limed as often as it helps.

The offer

Start with the test. Decide after.

The soil test is the entry point to our organic lawn program — and it's deliberately low-commitment. You get the numbers and a plain-language read on what they mean. If your lawn doesn't need a service, Will will tell you that.

What you get
Multi-point sampling across the property
Full lab panel — pH, nutrients, organic matter, CEC
A written read on what the numbers mean
A season plan built from the results, not a template
What it costs
$95–135
per property, depending on sample count

Against a season of wrong treatments, it's the cheapest line item on the list. If you move forward with a program, the test has already paid for itself in what we don't do.

Know your soil before the next season starts.

Two minutes now, and you'll stop guessing about your lawn for good.
